This happens all the time in the WLS community. So often we see a food item and we think, “I just HAVE to have a bite of that!” So, we take one. And it was NOTHING like we thought it would be!
I can’t count the number of times this has happened to me. The most recent example was when I bought a “diet” candy bar (I’m sure you've seen the brand with the pretty little cow on the front …) thinking, “I can have a square of this and be satisfied” which is usually true. I unwrap it slowly, and marvel at how cute and little the squares of caramel-filled chocolate were. Then I took a bite. And another. As I let the chocolate melt on my tongue, I thought … “Well, THAT wasn't awesome …” In fact, it was borderline nasty! I was left unsatisfied, and still had a chocolate craving. Lesson learned: I would have been much better off getting the real deal and taking a bite of it! Then I would have been satisfied with that tiny little something.
Other times have included: Fried chicken, coffee, fruit, baked goods, etc … Somehow it always seems to revolve around things I’m NOT supposed to have!
Moral of the story:
Eating something not on plan is usually NOT WORTH IT!!
Here's this weeks Meal Plan! It's a little different this week because of a SUPER TIGHT budget! But it just goes to show that you CAN eat on plan for just a little $$!
